A Range of Contract OptionsVeolia Transport manages contracts for 5,000 transit authorities around the world in 30 countries. In our 150 years of operating experience, in a large number of different cultural and political environments, we have been involved in many different types of contractual relationships. This gives us a deep base of experience to build upon, and also enables us to customize our business offers and contractual arrangements to fit the unique needs and circumstances of our clients. Our contractual relationships run the gamut from Transit Management Contracts, where we provide senior executives to manage and operate transit authorities, to much more elaborate Public-Private Partnerships, where we make investments in equipment or facilities and enter into long-term relationships with clients. The model most frequently used in Europe is our Delegated Management relationship, where we act as the transit authority for a city organization or policy board, and we manage all aspects of transit services, including vehicles, human resources, maintenance, marketing, service/route design, customer information, website and call centers, and more. This Delegated Management model is expected to become more prevalent in the US and Canada in the coming years. This section of our website explains five different contractual options that we use in North America.
