SuperShuttle Introduces Innovative
New Smartphone Apps!

SuperShuttle, the nation's leading shared-ride airport shuttle service raised the bar in innovation by launching new mobile phone Apps for the iPhone and Android networks. The Apps make it easy and fast for SuperShuttle customers to get a fare quote, and book or cancel an airport ride using their Smartphone. It's simple and convenient - at home, the office, in a hotel room, or at the airline gate.

As a bonus, iPhone and Android users can also earn miles directly from their smartphones if they participate in a frequent flyer program with one of SuperShuttle's major airline partners (Delta Air Lines SkyMiles, Frontier Airlines Early Returns, United Airlines Mileage Plus, or US Airways Dividend Miles programs.)

The Apps, found in the IPhone or Android Marketplace, recently received many accolades. The website, IntoMobile, praised the Apps, saying , "These Apps are what every traveler will find useful." The site gave especially high marks to the "Where's My Van?" function, for being so easy.

Technology that's changing the game

SuperShuttle followed the success of their iPhone and Android Apps with the introduction of sophisticated, new Mobile Data Terminals in their vans. These flat, wireless tablet computers have many new functions that our franchise drivers appreciate, including:

  • Reservations flow directly from dispatch to the driver's NexComMobile Tablet PC, where the driver will see the exact pickup location on a map, with software that optimizes the route automatically for the most efficient route for the driver.
  • Built-in barcode scanner for prepaid tickets, vouchers and promotional discounts, which can all be scanned into the system. This saves time for customers and drivers, and acts as an efficient book keeper for both.
  • Built-in printer, supplied by Zebra, allowing drivers to simply print credit card receipts and account signature slips immediately for the customer.
  • Large touch screen, which is great for displaying maps and detailed information regarding reservations. The screen also cuts down on driver distraction, allowing the driver to focus on the road and providing the best customer experience possible.

With the SuperShuttle Apps, NexCom Mobile Tablet PC, and the new mobile enhanced SuperShuttle site, SuperShuttle offers customers a comprehensive experience that makes booking transportation to and from the airport easier than ever.

SuperShuttle currently serves 33 airports, including Los Angeles, New York, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Washington, D.C. and Miami, and provides door-to-door ground transportation to more than eight million passengers per year.
