Safety is a Veolia core value and our highest priority. Maintaining safe operations requires constant vigilance, reinforcement and dedication. Continued management focus; ongoing training; rigorous safety audits and action plans, safety performance measures and key performance indicators (KPIs); employee engagement and incentives; outfitting buses with DriveCam—these are all ways in which we are committing to achieving safety in our actions every day. To assure continuous improvement in our safety performance, our safety audit program measures compliance with Federal, State and Local requirements, OSHA standards and adherence to Veolia’s standards. Audits are followed by detailed action plans for which managers are held accountable.

While we are very proud of our current safety efforts and programs, our quest is to continue to enhance them. We strive to embed safety standards into our thoughts and actions at every level of the company. We teach our managers that we must build a culture where safe practices are considered a priority by everyone and are integrated into daily business practices, processes and decisions. Our goal is that each employee consider safe operations his or her personal responsibility.
