In 2007, some 3.6 million tons of emissions were avoided as a result of mobility services provided by Veolia Transport operations worldwide. But we’re going much further, implementing a comprehensive sustainability program to instill a green culture within our company. We’re greening our vehicles, facilities and offices, and helping our clients do the same. In addition, in 2008, Veolia Transportation became the first private transportation company to join the California Climate Action Registry (CCAR). By doing so, we’ve made a public pledge to measure, report and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.

We’ve implemented leading-edge information technology to provide passengers with real-time travel updates at stops, aboard vehicles and in our European operations, even on their mobile phones. We use our network of global expertise to help solve our clients’ local problems.
